Where to begin with the last month?
That's great! It starts with an earthquake
Birds and snakes, an aeroplane
and Lenny Bruce is not afraid
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn
World serves its own needs, don't mis-serve your own needs
Speed it up a notch, speed, grunt, no strength
The ladder starts to clatter with fear of height, down height
Wire in a fire, representing seven games
In a government for hire and a combat site
Left of west and coming in a hurry
With the furies breathing down your neck
Team by team reporters baffled, trump, tethered crop
Look at that low plane! Fine, then
Uh oh, overflow, population, Common Food
But it'll do. Save yourself, serve yourself
World serves its own needs, listen to your heart bleed
Tell me with the rapture and the reverent in the right, right
You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright light
Feeling pretty psyched
Six o'clock. TV hour
Don't get caught in foreign tower
Slash and burn, return
Listen to yourself churn
Lock him in uniform and book burning, bloodletting
Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate
Light a candle, light a votive
Step down, step down
Watch a heel crush, crush
Uh oh, this means no fear; cavalier
Renegade and steer clear!
A tournament, a tournament
A tournament of lies
Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives
And I decline
The other night I tripped a nice
Continental drift divide
Mountains sit in a line
Leonard Bernstein, Leonid Brezhnev
Lenny Bruce, and Lester Bangs
Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly beans, boom!
You symbiotic, patriotic, slam, but neck, right? (Right!)
OK, that does a pretty good job. It’s been surprise oral surgery, kid with RSV, wife with flu and food poisoning, me and Nanny with Covid, dog with diarrhea, getting a second kid (cousin’s grand daughter has started an internship with The Today Show) disposing of a sleeper sofa (if you’re not a New Yorker, you can’t imagine the pain this entails) a weeklong mother in law visit and 87 days of Dry January. And a dozen other things I’ll have to recount in the comments.
Maybe now, though, things will calm down.
Oh shit … I’m hopping in a car in 40 minutes to fly to Austin for a cousin bachelor party this weekend.
Uggh.
I promise I will do more later. And I promise I will take all the stick over Liverpool. As, Jesus Christ who has fallen off a cliff faster?
The good news for Liverpool is they play Chelsea on Saturday. The good news for Chelsea is they play Liverpool on Saturday.
HOW IS THIS REALITY? THESE TEAMS HAVE PLAYED IN THE LAST TWO CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINALS.
I also promise to tell you my thoughts about this pending LFC sale. If you find me in person. And it’s not Dry January any more. For now, about all you’ll get out of me is this:
Interesting.
Peace and love.
Eye of a hurricane, indeed, Colby.
Well that was a lot...
Godspeed, sir
